Mr and Mrs Clare
Dear Katherine, Verity, Kerry and Julia, Paul and the team at Priston, Roy and the team at Kens Cars,
Thank you all so much for making me feel amazing on my wedding day; I didn’t want to take my dress off or let my hair down when I got home so Tom was treated to the sight of me emptying the dishwasher in my full wedding splendour!
Katherine, my hair and make up held up all day. I loved my lipstick and it helped save the day from disaster when Annabelle (the older child bridesmaid) was ‘nearly’ stung by a wasp before we went down the aisle. She felt much braver with Aunty Alex’s lip stick on! I absolutely loved my hair, it even survived climbing through a hedge to get to the cornfield!
Verity, my dress was just amazing. I did my best to scupper it at the last minute by cutting my leg shaving and bleeding on it, but some cold water soon sorted that out so you would never know! I felt completely confident in it and wish I could find another excuse to wear it. Thank you so much for doing so many alterations and saving the day so I didn’t end up with three dresses.
Julia and Kerry, thank you again for being so amazingly kind and helpful, at the detriment of selling me a dress. I can’t sing your praises highly enough and recommend you whenever someone mentions they are getting married.
Paul, thank you for letting the day go off without a hitch (well, apart from the one that was supposed to happen!). Everyone had a brilliant time and I was so so pleased we could get married outside. We had the most wonderful day and would love to find an excuse to come back and have another event at the mill….maybe if there’s the litter patter of tiny feet…!
Lastly, but by no means leastly, Roy. You were the consummate professional and gentleman. The car was simply beautiful and it was brilliant that Tom got to travel home in it, but, even better than the car, was your warmth and thoughtfulness. I’m sure most brides aren’t offered mints, water and chaperoned with umbrellas in the rain. You were also wonderfully calming for my poor parents who seemed far more stressed than I was! Nothing felt as if it was too much trouble.
Thank you all for making our first day as Mr and Mrs Clare so wonderful, I can’t sing any of your praises nearly enough but I am immensely thankful for you all,
Alex Clare (Cudmore)
